Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the POSLine software and this website. By downloading or using POSLine you agree to them. We've tried to keep them as short and plain as the product itself.

1. The software

POSLine is an offline point-of-sale application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It runs on your machine, stores data locally, and can optionally sync with your own Google Drive and Google Sheets account. Features and system requirements may evolve with updates.

2. Free Starter plan

The Starter plan is free and does not expire. It has two limits:

• A maximum of 10 products in your catalog.
• A maximum of 10 sales per day.

When you reach a limit, your existing data remains fully accessible and exportable — you simply can't add more products or make more sales that day until you upgrade to Pro.

3. Pro license

The Pro version removes all limits and is sold as a one-time payment of $290 USD. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or renewal fees. After purchase you receive a license key by email; entering it in the app verifies it online and unlocks Pro.

• Your license key is valid for the version you purchased and future updates to it.
• Keep your key private: a key is licensed for use by one person or business. Sharing, reselling, or publishing keys may result in deactivation.
• If you lose your key, contact us with your proof of purchase and we'll reissue it.

4. Refunds

We offer a 14-day unconditional money-back guarantee on Pro purchases. The full details are on theRefund Policy page, which is part of these terms.

5. Your data

Your data is yours. It lives on your machine and, if you enable sync, in your own Google Drive. We claim no ownership of your data and cannot access it. You are responsible for your backups — automatic (Google) or manual (export files) — and for your Google account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the software except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute POSLine or your license key.
• Use POSLine to violate any applicable law or regulation.

7. Third-party services

Google Drive and Google Sheets are services provided by Google, and your use of them is governed by Google's terms. POSLine's sync features depend on their availability; we are not responsible for Google service outages or changes Google makes to its platforms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

POSLine is provided "as is." While we work hard to make it reliable for real shops, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for backing up your data and for verifying that POSLine meets your needs — which is exactly why the free plan and the 14-day refund window exist.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, POSLine's total liability arising from your use of the software is limited to the amount you paid for your Pro license (or zero, for the free plan). We are not liable for lost profits, lost data beyond the value of your license, or indirect damages.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. The "last updated" date above will change with any revision, and significant changes will be announced in the app or on this website.
